The Requirements

To be a good fit for the Business Development opportunity, you will have:

  • 5+ years of business development experience in a related service industry;
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Self-motivation and initiative
  • The ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and results orientation

The Role

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Researching and identifying appropriate contacts in targeted market segments
  • Adding contacts to the CRM database
  • Reaching out to contacts to ensure accuracy of information
  • Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.
  • Maintains all sales demonstration tools and applications.
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by developing technical presentations for potential customers and maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends.
  • Close sales in a professional and effective manner to ensure the meeting of specific quota goals and the generation of revenue.
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner to ensure effective market planning.
  • Generating and qualifying leads through in-person cold calling.
  • Managing leads by tracking and following up on them through the use of PipeDrive CRM
  • Producing activity reports (by request).
  • Working with Sales Department to cross generate leads.
  • Contact prospective clients through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, and mailings to extend initiatives with the company.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Human Resources and upper management to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings.
  • Other administrative duties as requested.

The Requirements

You'll have support when you need it, but we're looking for a professional who takes pride in achieving goals independently. We'll provide you with goals and guidelines, and we'll look to you to assume ownership of your projects, including planning and executing them. This ownership should extend to both the strategic and tactical aspects of the role. In the morning you may meet with prospective clients and in the afternoon spend time doing data entry in the CRM -- you'll need to understand that it's all important.
