The recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for janitorial, floor care technicians, administrative and management positions throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. **You will work out of our Downtown Chicago office, near the South Loop, with many modes of transportation available!
Processes job requisitions.
Coordinates with HR Director to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
Acts as liaison with community centers and advertising agencies.
Screens and interviews applicants.
Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
Conducts employment references on candidates.
Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
Maintains good records for the employee referral program.
Conducts orientation/onboarding of new employees.
Follows up with the related admin aspects, such as entering profile and tax information into system to ensure payroll is processed timely for employee.
Notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
Completes weekly, monthly and annual report on employment activity, tenure, time-to-file, new hire failure rate, etc.
Maintains Applicant Tracking System (ATS) system up to date.
Ensures Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) records are accurate.
Position requires at least 50% field recruitment to attend job events, etc.

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (or Polish)
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
3-5 years of relevant experience (this can include an internship or a side-job you’ve taken on, we want to hear about it all!)
Computer savvy – ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge or willingness to learn ATS applications
Service industry experience is a plus!
