    Responsibilities

    THE ROLE:

    The Hiring Coordinator is responsible for interviewing, testing and hiring applicants for janitorial, floor care technicians, administrative and management positions throughout Bee Line Support. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. **You will work out of our Downtown Chicago office, near the South Loop. You will spend some of the week commuting to the suburbs to host interviews and source talent!

    More specifically, you will help in the following areas:

    • Manage our full recruitment cycle and ensure we always meet our staff requirements.
    • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy.
    • Write and post job descriptions on career websites, newspapers and universities boards, etc. Acts as liaison with community centers and advertising agencies.
    • Screens and interviews applicants, & coordinates appropriate employment testing. Conducts employment references on candidates. Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
    • Extends verbal and written job offers.
    • Conducts orientation/on-boarding of new employees.
    • Follows up with the related admin aspects, such as entering profile and tax information into system to ensure payroll is processed timely for employee.
    • Notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
    • Completes weekly, monthly and annual report on employment activity, tenure, time-to-fill, new hire failure rate, etc.
    • Maintains Applicant Tracking System (ATS) system up to date.
    • Ensures Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) records are accurate.
    • Ensures the company Referral Program records are accurate.

    Qualifications

    To be a good fit for the Hiring Coordinator, you will have:

    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for job fairs, local recruitment and travel to 2nd Bee Line office
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources 
    • 2-4+ years of relevant experience in Recruiting, Staffing, Human Resources, or another similar job functions. Proven work experience as a recruiting coordinator or recruiter
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Computer savvy – ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking system and candidate management systems
    • Janitorial/Manufacturing/Service industry experience is a plus!!
